Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how ProNear (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our Android app and related services.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: email address via Firebase Authentication for sign-in on the current public release. A phone number may also be stored on your profile and, when mobile SMS login is re-enabled, used for authentication. Profile phone is separate from optional future login SMS.
- Profile data: display name, bio, service categories, service area, starting rates, and similar marketplace details you provide.
- Service-person identity (Aadhaar OTP eKYC): to verify service persons we use an OTP-based Aadhaar verification flow through a KYC processor. We do not store your full 12-digit Aadhaar number. After successful verification we keep only the last 4 digits and an irreversible fingerprint for duplicate checks, plus limited verification metadata (for example vendor reference and verified name/address fields returned by the processor). We do not retain Aadhaar card photos; any temporary card image is deleted after OTP verification succeeds.
- Location: when you post a request we store an approximate area for browsing, and keep your exact address/GPS in a private record until you accept a bid. The accepted service person then sees the exact address on the booked job.
- Job & chat data: booked job details (including start-code secrets readable only by the customer), chat messages between the booked parties, and cancel metadata (who cancelled, suggested cancel-fee percent/amount for the fair cancel policy).
- Usage & device: app interactions and push notification tokens (FCM), including notifications for new matching service requests (service persons), new offers (customers), and job chat messages.
- Payments: Premium purchase identifiers from Google Play (product id, order id, purchase token hash/reference). Card details are handled by Google Play, not stored by ProNear. Job labor payments and cancel fees happen outside the app (cash/UPI between customer and service person).
- Safety reports: content you submit when reporting misuse, plus SOS incident logs when you use emergency SOS. Blocked-provider lists are stored on your customer profile so blocked people cannot bid on your requests.
2. How we use information
- Provide marketplace matching, messaging/notifications, job status, and Premium subscriptions.
- Verify service-person identity and reduce fraud (Aadhaar OTP eKYC).
- Prevent fraud, abuse, and illegal activity; enforce our Terms.
- Operate customer support and improve the product.
- Comply with law and Play Store / payment partner requirements.
3. Sharing
We share data with service providers who process it for us:
- Google Firebase (Auth, Firestore, Cloud Messaging, Hosting, Functions, Storage)
- KYC / Aadhaar OTP processors configured for eKYC (they process Aadhaar OTP on our behalf; we receive verification results, not a durable full-Aadhaar store)
- Google Maps / location services
- Google Play (Premium billing)
Other users may see profile and job-related information needed for the marketplace (for example your display name, categories, offers, and ratings). Other users cannot see your Aadhaar number.
4. Retention & deletion
We keep account and job records while your account is active and as needed for legal, security, and accounting purposes. For Aadhaar eKYC we retain only masked identity markers (last 4 digits and fingerprint) after verification; full Aadhaar and card scans are not retained. Account deletion from the ProNear app requires a signed-in session. If you contact support@taskvyo.in, we verify account ownership before processing a request. Knowing another user’s email address or phone number is not enough to delete their account.
5. Security
We use industry-standard cloud security controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
6. Children
ProNear is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under 13.
