Terms of Service & Acceptable Use
By creating an account or using SkillConnect you agree to these Terms.
1. What SkillConnect is
SkillConnect connects customers with local service professionals for lawful home and business services. Customers can post requests; service persons can register categories and areas, and send price offers. Job labor is paid directly between customer and provider (cash/UPI). Digital Premium access for service persons is sold through Google Play Billing.
2. Independent service persons
Service persons on SkillConnect are independent contractors, not employees, agents, or partners of Taskvyo Technologies or SkillConnect. SkillConnect facilitates matching, messaging, and booking tools. We do not employ providers, supervise their work on site, or guarantee their skill, honesty, or conduct. Customers engage providers at their own risk and should use in-app safety tools (start code, share job, SOS) and common-sense precautions.
3. Strict acceptable use
You may use SkillConnect only for lawful local services. You must not request, offer, or arrange anything illegal, including drugs, weapons, stolen goods, fraud, hacking, violence, harassment, adult sexual services, or activity banned under Indian law. Fake identity documents, impersonation, account sharing, or misusing job start codes is prohibited. We may suspend accounts immediately and cooperate with law enforcement.
4. Accounts & KYC validation
You are responsible for your login credentials and information you post. Service persons must upload a government photo ID and profile photo. SkillConnect may review documents as follows:
- Confirm the profile photo is a clear face of the same person.
- Confirm the ID photo is readable (PAN, Aadhaar, Driving Licence, Voter ID, or Passport).
- Match the typed ID type and number to the document (the app also checks format).
- Reject blurry, cropped, edited, or mismatched documents and require resubmission.
- Only then mark identity as verified by SkillConnect.
Labels such as “ID submitted” or “ID verified by SkillConnect” mean SkillConnect collected or reviewed documents. They are not government Aadhaar e-KYC authentication unless we expressly say so after a lawful verification process.
5. Premium subscription (after KYC verified)
Premium can be purchased and activated only after KYC is verified by SkillConnect. Until then, service persons may still bid during the 7-day free trial after registration (or with any bonus free jobs), but Google Play Premium checkout will not activate entitlement. Premium charges are processed by Google Play; refunds follow Google Play policies. SkillConnect does not collect or hold job labor payments.
6. Referral codes
Service persons receive a referral code. If a buyer enters a valid friend’s code when purchasing Premium, SkillConnect may grant about one month of bonus Premium days to the buyer. The referrer’s bonus (extra Premium days if they have an active plan, or an extra free job otherwise) is held for a short period and granted only if the purchase is not refunded. Referral benefits are promotional, capped per month and lifetime, limited to one bonus per verified ID, may change, and can be withheld or clawed back for abuse (self-referral, fake accounts, refund farming, fraud).
7. Location privacy, reports & incidents
Before a bid is accepted, other users see only an approximate service area — not your exact street address or GPS. Exact address and contact details are revealed to the accepted service person on the booked job. Start codes are customer-private. Only the customer may mark a job completed. You may report or block a service person. SOS creates an incident record for review and then opens emergency dialing (your SOS contact and/or 112 / 100 / 108 in India).
8. Content & ratings
Do not post false, abusive, or illegal content. Ratings and reviews must be honest and related to completed work.
9. Disclaimers & limitation of liability
We provide the marketplace “as is.” We do not guarantee job outcomes, provider quality, safety, or uninterrupted service. To the extent allowed by law, Taskvyo Technologies’ liability is limited to fees you paid to us (for example Premium) in the three months before a claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
10. Termination
You may delete your account in the app or by contacting support. We may suspend access for Terms violations.
